Project Overview
The ADAPTAGRI Project (BSB01250) is an 18-month transnational initiative co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme 2021–2027.
It aims to strengthen the capacity of the agricultural sector in Türkiye, Bulgaria, and Greece to adapt to the growing impacts of climate change, such as water scarcity, drought, and heatwaves.
By integrating smart and green farming practices, ADAPTAGRI contributes to building a resilient, sustainable, and innovative agricultural system across the region.
Objectives
The project focuses on developing and implementing innovative solutions that promote smart, sustainable, and climate-resilient agriculture, taking into account ecosystem-based approaches.
Farmer Capacity
Increase the capacity of farmers, institutions, and stakeholders to adapt to climate impacts.
Digital Tools
Promote the use of smart technologies and digital tools for efficient resource management.
Regional Cooperation
Strengthen regional cooperation and knowledge exchange between partner countries.
Sustainability
Support environmental sustainability through eco-friendly agricultural practices.
Expected Results
Improved awareness and capacity among farmers and policymakers on climate adaptation.
Pilot implementation of drone technology to demonstrate precision agriculture applications.
Established BSB Platform for Smart and Green Recovery in Agriculture for ongoing cooperation and data sharing.
Enhanced cross-border collaboration and stronger institutional partnerships.
